Add use of error bars (SD and SEM) for charts/graphs.
While Windward templates allow for graphs/charts to be used, it does not have the capability to use/show error bars. This is a standard functionality for excel/word office products and the ability to do so with Windward sourced graphs/charts is important to the user community.

Show customized datalabels in charts
In PowerPoint charts it is possible to define a set of data label values (e.g. 71*) to be displayed instead of the value score label. In the attached file I have created an example containing both a value, a linebreak and a text.
This could be very useful in many situations, e.g. to highlight important findings in data.56 votes -
Support Mirosoft Word DOCM file format and Macros
We have many Microsoft Word template with Microsoft Word Macros in them (Word > Developer > Macros).
The templates are saved in DOCM file format.
Currently, Windward Report Designer supports using the DOCM templates with Windward Report Designer, to create outputs successfully and to save the output in DOCM file format, but the macros are not available in the output.
Windward Report Designer shall support Microsoft Word DOCM file format and Macros, so that the Macros can be run after output generation.4 votes -

Better ways to format X-axis in a Word chart
In a Word chart I can't format the X-axis easily. More formatting options would be nice to have.
For example, sometimes our data starts from 10 and then it increases by a factor of 10, so 10, 20, 30 and so on. In the screenshot that I attached you can see in black the way WindWard displays the X-axis and in red the way I would like to display it.
Also, there's no way to automatically change the gap between labels so that they would always be separated nicely, no matter how long or short the data on the X-axis…

Let's make the Invalid PDF error message cleaner and easier to read
We have encountered situations where the software is attempting to Import a PDF which is invalid. This of course fails. The issue I have is with the error message, which at least now says "Invalid PDF", which accurately describes the problem.
AutoTag version: 22.1.0.85
Exception: Error: Invalid PDF attempted to be imported! Details: Index: 613, Size: 613I think it would be much nicer to fix this so it does not appear that the program blew up, with a long stack traceback. This issue should produce a cleaner error output that omits the stack trace. In this case you have…

Windward Community
Hi,
I would be interested to exchange knowledge with other Windward users, see what they do and show what we do.
Would be great if Windward could facilitate this :)
Cheers,

Chart with multi-level axis
Hi Windward team!
Multi-level axis is a standard excel feature but it is not currently supported by Windward.
It would be very useful so that - for instance - we can group locations by priority, or by area.
See attached screenshot.
Our priority would be to get it in Word templates.

Use an OUT tag in a graph title
I want to produce a series of graph for different equipment types, and put the equipment type in each graph title.
There is a work around (put the graph title outside of the graph) which is ok for any advanced user. However, our plan is to give access to Windward Designer to a large crowd of users from our clients. These users will have limited support and training, i.e. each work around becomes a barrier. The expectation is that you should be able to put an OUT tag in the title4 votes -

Support OpenType features in Word
Ticket to support the open type features (selecting numeral style, etc.) for non-system fonts in Word.
1 voteHello Reporter,
Please clarify: are you talking about about support for OpenType Fonts? OpenType Fonts should already be supported in the product! Please let us know, if you are encountering an issue with OpenType Fonts, perhaps it is a bug…
Thank you,

Converting text to a number before sorting
Currently the only way to cast a value to an integer is through an out tag. If we have a text field that is a number we would like to convert it to numeric in the for each loop and then sort it numerically. For example if we have 01, 2, 3, 4, 05, 06 the current sort order comes out as 01, 05, 06, 2, 3, 4. We would need to convert these values to a number in the for each loop using NUMBERVALUE or CAST and then sort on these values. Currently we are only able to convert…
1 voteHello Reporter,
We have reviewed your request, but had some questions. What data provider are you using? If you are using XML, this problem may be solved by using a schema.
Thank you.
